 Welcome Twin Creeks Music Families!


Below you will find information regarding your child's Music class.
I look forward to a wonderful year of Music making!!

Kindergarten
Using songs, singing games, folk dances,interactive stories,instrument play and more, students will learn basic Music skills such as matching pitch, steady beat, high/low,
long/short, phrases,and musical timing. These activities are also important in helping your child continue to develop their social/emotional skills, inhibitory control, self expression, etc.
And the most important part-we have fun!!!!!




First Grade
Using the same kinds of activities, we will scaffold on what we learned in Kindergarten, adding simple rhythm reading, improvisation and pitched mallet instruments.






Second Grade
Using the same kinds of activities, we will continue to scaffold, adding more rhythm reading patterns, more complicated folk dances and singing games.

Third Grade
Students will be learning to play the recorder,and  read music.  We will also be learning singing games and folk dances from all around the world.

Chorus
Chorus will resume when we can meet in person.

Band
Advanced band will meet on Fridays 1:10-1:40 for their group instruction class.

Beginning band will meet on Fridays 1:45-2:15:
